01Writing an enquiry

What to include in your message

The more of the following your first message covers, the more useful our reply will be. Partial information is still welcome — we will ask about anything that is missing.

  1. 01

    What the system is

A short description of the product, service or internal process the work relates to, and who uses it.

  2. 02

    What outcome you need

The result you are trying to reach, stated in business terms rather than as a proposed technical solution.

  3. 03

    Current state

Whether this is a new build, an addition to an existing system, or work on software that is already in production.

  4. 04

    Technical context

Languages, frameworks, databases, hosting and third-party services already in use, if any are fixed.

  5. 05

    Constraints

Regulatory, data-residency, security, budgetary or integration constraints that will shape the solution.

  6. 06

    Timing

Your expected start window and any external deadline the work has to meet.

  7. 07

    Access and ownership

Who owns the existing code and infrastructure, and who can grant access if the engagement proceeds.

02Scope of enquiries

What we can help with

Enquiries about custom software development, web application development, backend engineering and API integration, cloud infrastructure and deployment, workflow automation, software testing and quality assurance, and technical maintenance and modernisation are all appropriate.

Requests concerning privacy, personal data, or the terms under which the Application is provided should also be sent to the same address; the relevant provisions are set out on the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service pages.

No response-time commitment is published, and none should be inferred.
